Balding runs in my family, this I know. My hairline has receded, this I also know. Am I full on balding? No one knows, it may just be a mature hairline. However, if it's not (and only time will tell), I will have a few different solutions to my problem. I plan on watching it every few months, as I have already been doing.
Agreed that it's best to start planning surgery when you're at NW2-3, if you can afford it. But you're not even there, you're a perfect NW1.

And think about it man, do you really want to have a 15 years old boy's hairline when you're 35 ? Do you realize how stupid, boy-ish and immature that would make you look ? Really, just wait at least 1 year, see what happens and if it recedes further you can always consider taking action then.

Just because I am not a NW3 or more does not mean I am not balding. My doctor in December did diagnose me with androgenic alopecia after looking at my hairline, I just kinda took that with a grain of salt since she took a quick look at it and said it was receding. My intention is not to restore a NW1, just to hopefully keep a similar hairline to what I have right now.

If Gho would operate on you nobody would take him seriously after this.

Agreed.. I'm a NW4-5 at 22 years old. I've been in an deep depression since 2 months back when the hair loss accelerated even further. I regret that I clicked on this tread.

Don't worry canuhandleit, your hair looks great. I would be thrilled if I had half of your hair.

You guys all misinterpreted what he said...HE SAID "Gho is willing to operate on me to keep bring my hairline back to basically where it is now when future loss occurs."

GHO WOULDN'T LOWER IT NOW....jesus it's amazing how people on this forum speculate and just spread rumors and take information out of context.

Gho said on his interview with spencer he wouldn't give people hairlines that will look unnaturally low when they get older.

No offence mate but you're an absolute idiot if you're considering a HT. Are you sure Gho agreed to operate? after seeing you?

You have no hair loss and you hair looks thick. Stop worrying about hair loss because if it ever does start to recede or thin in the future, you'll regret not enjoying and making the most of the hair you have now.

More like a U to me - your hairline may not be completely straight, but your forelock pretty much is. See photos of young Jude Law for someone who has a V.

i don't understand these nw1 dudes who think they're going bald, i guess just looking at your hair every second tricks your eyes after a while. YOU DO NOT HAVE MPB AT ALL. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON A HAIR TRANSPLANT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.

that would seriously be insane, absolutely insane. hair transplants are for when other people routinely tease you about baldness or people regularly comment on the fact that you are losing your hair. you have to be at that level of hairloss to consider a transplant. just relax and wait for better treatments, post a pic every 3 months and we'll let you know if you're balding or not.

What I see happening is the formation of what is called a "mature hairline." Very few men, even those without male pattern baldness keep their exact juvenile hairline, making you look more like a man and less like a boy.

For example, Jon Hamm has a textbook "mature hairline".

Basically some very mild hairloss at the temples and front of the hairline. They key difference between a mature hairline and MPB is that the angles of the temples are very tight, versus MPB which looks more like this:

    textbook norwood 2:

Notice how the angle of the temples is much softer and the recession kind of bows inwards towards the middle of his head? That's MPB

None of us are doctors, nor do we know your family history, nor can we predict the future. I, however, would be shocked if your hairline receded more than a few centimeters more over the next 60 years of your life.

Even though baldness runs on BOTH sides of my family? Mother side = like a NW7, not sure how fast. Fathers side = NW3-4(A) very slowly
