hey justeone, yeah i took a couple days off over the weekend to give my scalp a break. shedding still seems down! shed maybe 10 hairs today rather than the 40 or so i was shedding at the peak of my shed a couple weeks ago.

i'm going to be adding derma rolling to this in the next couple of days. if any of you guys haven't checked that out i HIGHLY recommend reading the trial we're going to begin at btt. here is my planned regimen by September:

    1. minox 5% foam 1x daily, 6 days a week
    2. derma rolling 1x weekly
    3. CB 1x daily (depending on optimal dose, vehicle, etc., could be less frequent)
    4. regenepure 2-3x weekly
    5. i/c combo 1x daily, 6 days a week

I think this is a killer regimen. I'm attacking mpb from every known angle and boosting regrowth in the best way we know how to at this point.

I will stay on the above regimen (barring side effects) for 6 months. If my loss has not progressed in 6 months, I will book a fue hair transplant with Dr. Rahal, for a dense packing of the hairline. Then, I'll wait for the true cure, knowing that I've done everything I can and it's only a matter of time before superior treatments arrive.

Very excited for the next couple months guys.

I brush my hair in the morning before washing it to avoid clogging the drain and to try and keep track of how much I shed, and in the morning I usually count around 15-25 hairs. I brush and wash my hair again in the evening before I apply minox and when I brush my hair, I will see another 15-20 hairs or so. I varies, of course, some times I see less than 30 in total and some times I see 50 in the morning alone. I use wax to style my hair, I think most of the hairs I shed during the day get caught by the wax, so I guess it gives a somewhat accurate picture of how much I shed - from the crown anyway.
i agree it's not as much as some here claim to lose, but i'm coming from finasteride where i may have lost 1 hair a day. i'd say i probably lose 50 a day during a shed that i actually see, who knows how many i actually shed.

all i know is my hairline is pushing NW3 and my crown is getting thin. so either way something bad is happening.

i/c irritates my crown. did not apply yesterday and won't apply today to prevent irritation.

An interesting read thanks. It's looking more and more like when this is finally cracked minoxidil will be used in conjunction with another agent.

    Update:

****tard that I am I spilled the god damn Indomethacin and lost about 3/4ths of the bottle. Infuriating.

Shedding may be slowing down. Seems like I lost a little less hair today than usual. Will keep updating each day I remember to.

Well, If I write this is because diclofenac is supposed to work in very similar to way to indomethacin, they're both COX2 inhibitors (although indomethacin is supposed to be a little bit better, as it is also a week PGD2 agonist that acts as a PGD2 antagonist).

Still, I think the thing about the diclofenac is a good thing... or so i hope...

I'm going to go bald one way or another might as well put up a fight and take a risk.
I agree 100% with your last statement. We both will eventually be bald, so I see your point there. I also agree you definitely want to give any new treatment several months before evaluating its effectiveness, but I just can't seem to find concrete evidence this works minus a handful of people using many topicals beyond Indo/Chromo.

Either way, I'll be following your progress. Hopefully your shed dissipates soon.
