Caught between a rock and a (not so) hard place...

I feel hopeless too. I have had three major hair transplant surgeries and they are costly. I am not willing to go bald in at all (my hair is sort of my trademark and means a lot to me). However, I feel like the "brake line" between my brain and my groin has been permanently severed, almost like paralysis. I have ED (rare erections though occasional) and a very low libido. I had a very high libido and normal erections growing up, and the libido slowed a bit on SSRI anti-depressants but not debilitatingly so, but finasteride has pretty much extinguished my sex life. Without that natural enthusiasm that pushes and incites you, I am only eating more and feeling more disconnected. And yes, I had gotten in really good shape, working out daily, eating well and down to a 31" waist but it did not help my sex drive. Finasteride seems to make much more of a different than diet or exercise ever could, although I keep reading about those things.

What is quantum xmetihcs? Is it a pill? What took you 9 months? I'm curious as to what your talking about.. can this help me?

I was pretty traumatized by the events, it took me around 6-7 months to go back to normal. But even after I was normal I had developed anxiety about it happening again.

DO NOT internalize it, stop thinking about it, it's easier said than done I know, stop watching porn to, don't use it as a validation mechanism, what I mean is don't use it to get an erection just to make sure you can, this will lead to porn induced ED, where your body does not react normally without porn, you can still masterbate just not with porn.

Forget about the hair, you can use concealers, get hair transplants, and worst case scenario get a hair system. The best advice I can give you is to raise testosterone naturally, eat healthy fats avocado, eggs, salmon, almonds. Get plenty of sleep, in the meantime don't dwell on the issue, live your life as you normally would, if you have issues buy viagra but don't take it, have it there as insurance just in case. In some instances you may need to abstain from sex until you're anxiety subsides. I can tell from your posts you're very anxious and distraught as a guy 10 years older and having gone through it already this is what you have to do. Things are better now for me, but I can't help but feel that some of my best years were wasted dwelling on what happened.

Once you get older you're less hard on yourself no pun intended, at 22 it's unacceptable, it's ok not to be able to perform at any moment of the day, you're a person not a machine, the sooner you learn that the better, if you explain this to your partner I'm sure she'll understand. You'll be fine as long as you don't dwell on this, it can take a while to get back to normal, remember not to demand your body but let it come naturally. No one can perform with anxiety or when they're not aroused don't lose sight of this.
Finally somebody who understands what I'm going through.. bro I can't even tell you how hard this has been on me. I took this pill for 5 years.. since I was 17 with little to no side effects, obviously as I got older that changed and now I clearly can't use it anymore.. literally after the first time I stopped being hard during sex it happened again after when I was doing it.. in the back of my mind I was thinking about the time it happened before and I think it made it happen the second time.. it's like the fear of knowing it could happen terrifies you.. that I didn't want it to want it do and it did.. and there was a few times I literally couldn't get hard at all with my gf even with stimulation and that's when I knew I can't take this pill anymore.. it crushed me.. I was convinced it wasn't mental but obviously that plays into it to.. it's been so hard.. then I contributed it more to propecia and obviously after that I just had to quit.. I'm just terrified that will happen with somebody else and that's scary.. how can I just not think about it? You've given me great advice.. but like I said it's been so hard to not take it cause it feels like 5 years of effort and my life down the drain.. just to lose it all? I don't seem to have many more options tho I haven't taken propecia since January 9th so.. I see it getting real bad for me soon in the hair department.. if you look at my relies you can see where my hair is currently at.. I see the end coming but yeah.. what do u think? Obviously I'd rather have hair then a broken wang and obviously this pill is not ok for young men.. being off it for this long has shown me how different I was in all aspects vs when I was off it.. a grown man needs DHT for more then hair. That pill turns u into something broken.. it's sad really. But damn 6-7 months? It hasn't even been one yet and it's been bothering me.. I hope I can recover real soon. I want to live a normal life.. I'm so torn on what to do.. I just wanna be a regular guy.. the anxiety has been bad.. I've been trying to eat rignt and sleep right.. imma keep doing that.. but yeah.. what do you think I should do? Or can do.. about all this.. I wanna be normal sexually and I hope time can help me.. I don't want it to just randomly get soft ever again.. I'm 22 and that's just not ok. What do u think?

Did you take it for a while? And didn't you say you thought I'd be okay? I know I can recover from this.. I will.. have to have that mentality or you ruin yourself.. I know what post finasteride syndrome is, that's like 99% of the reason when I started feeling effects I quit in the first place.. anything but that

I've decided to show pictures of where my hair is currently at.. I haven't taken propecia since January 9th and this is how my hair has been looking.. it's been 12 days off the pill so far.. I want to keep not taking it to recover but fear my hair is taking a turn for the worst. It was never super thick or thin it was always in the middle, only thing I've been doing is rogaine and regenpure shampoo... what do you guys think I should do? Just allow 5 years to go down the drain? I obviously know my sexual health is more important but this is also killing my confidence..

[QUOTE=JustWantAnswers;245402]Those couple of years are crucial at 22 haha.. and if I lose my hair.. I guess all this work will be for nothing. And not only that.. who knows how my libido will be.. that scares me to death.. are u sure I'll be ok? And yeah I will enjoy not putting system altering drugs into my body but now I fear the worst for my hair.. the thinning just seems to be returning. It's so depressing.. i guess all I can do is keep using rogaine and regenpure and pray to keep what I can.. this whole thing has ruined my confidence forever.. idk what imma do bro.. am I really about to allow my hair to go? This is crushing me

I was literally developing a broken wang - my weakly-erect penis was starting to bend in Peyronie's fashion while in throbbing pain. Currently in the same boat as you, still recovering although I seem to have passed through the worst patch. Hang in there and I'm sure you'll recover. I am sure that we're not as statistically unlucky as Merck would have us believe...pretty sure it's slightly higher than 2% getting side effects. And I mean non-trivial side effects.

By the time they figure it out I probably won't have any hair.. I legit can't win.. so much for being a millennial with "all the best technology" yet we can't solve a hair follicle.. humans are either money hungry or crazy.. there's no in between, we can go to mars but can't find a cure for this. And it was a skin doctor that got me the prescription and told me how much to take. That's what he said that he was doing. I was older and in my 50's. Not sure at the time that the changes I experienced were age related or drug related.
