Hair loss specialist in Dallas area?
Hi All,
I am new here and recently started noticing thinning of hair near the crown. I am trying to find a good dermatologist in the DFW area who specializes in hair loss. The only name I see consistently come up is Dr David Whiting. But his reviews are not so great (e.g. he always does a scalp biopsy regardless of symptom and will not prescribe anything for androgenetic alopecia - the most common hair loss).
My question is:
1. Are there any other good hair loss specialist dermatologists in DFW and can you share your experiences with them?
2. Can anyone share your experiences with Dr Whiting?
3. In your opinion is a biopsy always necessary or is good to do (say to rule out other causes for hair loss)
