Maybe having my first post on here as a new topic isn't the best start, but I hope for your understanding. I've been reading up on these forums and it has been really helpful. I've been waiting over a week to have my account activated so that I could ask these questions.
I am currently on the verge of beginning minox + micro rolling. However, out of personal reason, I am looking for a minoxidil mix that does not contain ethanol (ethyl alcohol).
Note: Please do not just say 'Just use an ethanol mix.' It is not an option for me. Thank you.
I have a few questions and I'd appreciate any help or advice.
1. I know there is at least one Minox application w/o ethanol (Belgravia 10% Minox with PPG). Do you guys think a minox solution w/ only glycerin or PPG w/o any ethanol can be effective?
The fact that there are/were applications w/o ethanol seems to suggest to me that it is a possibility.
2. The Belgravia cream is way too freaking expensive. I have not been able to find any other similar applications free of ethanol. Any suggestions? The only thing I can think of is having a local pharmacy compound a formula for me. But I have no prior experience with that and I'm not sure how to go about it, what percentage mixture to have, etc.
3. Would you guys prefer a once-a-day 10% minox application or twice-a-day 5% minox application?
4. Would you recommend starting off with 5% once-a-day and reserving the big guns for the later years (gradually move on to 5% twice a day and then 10% once-a-day,etc)
