I'm 27, turning 28 in 2 months and considering a small FUE transplant. I've been on propecia for a year and half and currently taking 0.5mg (was taking 0.25mg up until a few months ago). My hair overall actually looks really good, my hairline is an NW1 with good density as is the top of my hair. The crown also isn't bad but there's a little bit less density there than there should be, I would say maybe 30% less than should be so I was considering a small 500-ish FUE transplant there.
I'm considering going to the Farjo clinic in London. I know FUE does leave scars but with only 500 grafts would these be virtually invisible? I usually wear the back of my hear at a 2 guard although recently I've had it at a 1.5 guard. Is 500 grafts a good rough estimate and is there anything I should be aware of before getting it done that I may not know? I've done my research but there's a lot to consider and take in. Would I need to have my entire head shaved for example? I see some conflicting info out there.
In terms of my family history one side of my family has all hair, including my father who has had zero loss at 57. Two people in my family went bald on the other side of my family so it seems I've inherited a mix of both sides. I would say I noticed something very small with my hair from 19/20 but it's been always been very minor and slow progressing, I don't think I have anything aggressive.
