So between day 7 and day 10 the scabs came off, and most of the transplanted hair went with it. I noticed that some of my regular native hair had shed too.
Between week 2 and week 3, about 90%+ of my native hair in the transplant area has shed. I had a very thin patch of hair, about 1.2 inches in diameter, but the surgeon transplanted the whole crown region, so now my entire crown is pink with very little hair left.
I'm about to start university next week so this is very upsetting. Even if I keep it very short, it's kind of weird how pink my crown region is, and how I have a full head of normal hair except for a 90% bald crown region. I didn't realize that my native hair would shed too, so I need to find a way to cover it up, I don't know if I can wear a cap to university for 3-4 months straight until at least my native hair returns.
