Facial Hair for Distraction:
The photos with the patient wearing a goatee were taken 9 months after the procedure. He used facial hair as a distraction as his transplant grew in. At one year, his transplant was fully mature and he became clean-shaven again. Note how the additional growth and return of a slight wave makes the 1-year result appear fuller, even with a very modest number of grafts.
