    HT scar after surgery

Hi guys, quick question: how long after HT surgery until the scar is less visible? I'm 3 weeks out, I've had stitches and staples removed, the nurse who took them out (who was an NHS nurse and in no way affiliated with the clinic, she'd never even heard of a hair transplant), said the scar was "beautiful", she even asked me to wait after she'd finished so she could show some of her colleagues, so I guess the scar is good. It was quite covered up by my hair being longer, but I shaved my hair down to a number 4 to even it out a bit with the top which was shaved for the procedure, so the scar is now quite visible. It's more because of the marks from where the staples were, and the hair around that has temporarily fallen out, rather than the scar itself. I was wondering how long it'll be before I can go out without a hat, and the scar won't be visible? I'm looking for work at the moment, and I can't really wear a hat for job interviews, so it would be useful to know! Thanks.

Be patient you just had your staples removed. Your scar will improve over time, every patient heals differently. A scar can take months or even a year to completely heal.

Don’t worry about the scar; it will heal on its own. You must give time to the scar to heal. Healing differs from person to person.
