Hey Everyone!

I just had done a neograft 1,200 graft procedure. I removed the bandage from the back of my donor area appx. 24 hours later. I was never told if I should be rubbing cream, solution, bacitracin, neosporen etc. on the donor area holes. Should I be? Or will they naturally heal on their own? It is the weekend, and I can't get in touch with my doctor.

If someone has any idea/ or went through the procedure please let me know!

I dont even know why they put a bandage on the area. Anyway, no need to put anything on but it's your choice if u want to.

Thank you for the speedy response! That put my mind at ease.

I was having alot of bleeding, or "action" as they called it during the surgery. Just a precaution I think.

Thanks again!

You're welcome. I had several (FUT) HTs but was never bandaged even though I was bleeding a little more than usual -although it was more in the recipient area I think. It is not that big of a problem -if there's no excessive bleeding- as naturally all wounds bleed a little. Never used any of those ointments on the donor area myself.
