View Full Version : Need opinions if balding or not, 23M
03-13-2016, 03:59 PM
Just looking for some opinions if I'm losing my hair or not. Up until recently I was more worried about the back of my head, but then the other day my friend mentioned my hairline might also be receding. I think I'm probably a norwood 2. But in my opinion, my hairline has been like that since I was about 18.
Anyways, here are some pictures: http://imgur.com/a/fVhRO

Hello there Thatguy564322 !
Welcome to the BTT forum, your at the right place for good advice!
Bmoreno515 was very RIGHT in his response to you bro.
( Good going Bmoreno515 )
I feel that you are ONLY experiencing a maturing of your hairline at this point in your life.
Do not become worried about this or anything else in your life!
Worry and stress WILL cause serious issues to your hair as well as to your health!
You must be accepting of how things are for right now.
More than likely you CAN improve your hair with the use of Minoxidil and Biotin.

Thanks, guys. I appreciate the responses. I've been stressing about it a lot over the last two and a half months. I'll just keep monitoring it every now and then, and maybe switch to a better shampoo for good measure.
Kinda funny, I was on another forum a few days ago and two people told me to start seeking treatment and hop on finasteride immediately. I wasn’t really buying it, so it’s nice to have some other opinions!

Hello Thatguy' !
So, are you 23 years old?
I think that's what you said.
Again don't stress out over your hairline or anything else.
There is no reason for it.... I'm much older than you so I have that proper foresight.
More than likely no one around you is really noticing any major change to your hair!
A percentage of people may notice that you have a matured hairline and not hair loss!
More than likely, nobody is really focusing on your hair like you personally do to yourself.
On a side note- I wish my hair looked like yours. I have major hair loss in my crown area -you do not!!
The cool thing is that minoxidil is improving my hair as well is using biotin .
Started taking minoxidil in November of last year it's almost been four months now and there is improvement showing.
Stay calm my friend.

Yeah, I've been trying to find pictures of my hairline from the last few years and I haven't noticed any major change. I went through the same panic two years ago, I think it's just my fear getting the best of me haha. My dad started balding when he was 18, so it's always been in the back of my mind if I'll start soon. Thanks for the positive words though! I feel like I can relax a little more.
Do you have any shampoos you'd recommend? I'm currently using head and shoulders, but I read that the sulfates can be harsh on the scalp.
Also good luck with your treatments :)
