View Full Version : What's my Norwood rating (and will the Big 3 work for me)?

Hi guys,

I'd really appreciate a rating as I'm relatively new to this. I've been pretty comfortable being bald and shaving down to a 1, but was thinking I might try the Big 3 to get a little more growth on the front. In particular, I'd really like to thicken the landing strip at the front up, but am welcoming any advice as to how realistic that is.

My questions are:

What NW am I? (Think this haircut would look much worse without a 1, as my sides are much thicker than my top at this point and the right angle with camera and sunlight will just make me look bald).

Is the Big 3 a realistic treatment for improvement with my hair condition as it is now?

Thanks in advance.

I would guess a nw4 or 5. I would also guess you are relatively young. Honestly you never know until you try so why not give it a shot.

The guy looks t have had similar loss and he is making a big comeback with treatment.

Hey, John, really appreciate the response and assumed NW4-5 was accurate.

I'm not managing to click the link; am assuming there's some a block on it from the forum, but would be interested to see the progression. I've gone to Bernstein's site and seen a lot of phenomenal growth there. Definitely makes one at least want to try it and then quit if the sides are substantial.

Thanks again.
