Hey guy, new to the forum and was wondering if anyone can give me there opinion on my donor density for a potential hair transplant. Hair loss is mostly frontal and hairline with a small spot slowly getting bigger in the crown. I have been on propecia for 10 months now and haven't noticed anything positive or negative. Also using nizoral 4-5 times per week which has also not done anything for my hair.42972429734297442975

10 months is still early days to judge Propecia, but if your hair loss isn't progressing, then it might be considered a success. I would continue with Propecia, if I were you.

Regarding your donor area, your photos aren't very good, and they don't really reveal anything. Even if the photos were excellent though, there is a real method to actually measure your donor density (not with photos).

Donor density is important, but there are other issues to consider too. In general, if you can completely avoid getting a hair transplant, that is usually the best option IMO.

Your donor density looks good but you should always get an in person consult before deciding for sure.

I agree with Arfy that if you are not seeing any further progression of your loss then it is likely that the medication is working. Remember, the medication's greatest benefit is holding you steady, not thickening. If you do experience thickening then consider yourself lucky as it will only mean a better result if you have a procedure or it could even mean you won't need a procedure. The efficacy of the medication does continue past ten months so you may still yet see some gains but if you don't and you hold steady that means you have a stronger base to build upon with a procedure, should you so wish to have one.

Your donor zone appears good in the photos and if the sides are similar then you are probably a candidate.
