View Full Version : My story

Hey all, new here.

I'm 26 years old and started losing hair at 20. My brother was a nw6 at 18. My father is a nw2.

I'm not sure what NW I am. I think 3.

Started rogaine foam 8 months ago. Got minor regrowth in right temple but left is miniaturizing. (Right isn't, weird?).

After giving rogaine a fair shot for 8 months I started propecia 3 weeks ago.
It's made me a bit tired and erections are a bit less firm, nothing major enough to stop yet.

I have 3 questions:

1. Can propecia save and possibly reverse some of my left side miniaturization and the mild diffuse thinning in front?

2. Will propecia boost the rogaine I've been using or is it at its peak?

3. What's my NW and am I too far gone to bother with meds?

One more question. In one pic I buzzed to a number 2. Does it look terrible to you guys?

Also thinking of adding castor and peppermint oil to temples.

Anyone thoughts?

All I can say is what I've read/heard mate. Castor oil is good for hair and if you add derma rolling with it. As for peppermint be careful because it is great for hair condition it can apparently slow down hair growth, apparently it slows down cell division

Thanks much for your input. Recent study showed peppermint oil was as effective as 3% minoxidil.
While I find that hard to believe, I think it may be worth trying for a few months.

Anyone have any input on my stage of hairloss and what propecia can potentially do for me, or if it can boost the rogaine I've used for 8 months?

Any input greatly appreciated.

Noticing tiny hairs on my phone shedding. Like under 1cm. Good sign?

Still unsure if I'm NW2 or 3 and if Propecia can make enough of a difference to not just shave it and give up.

Anyone think it's worth trying with what I have left at this point without an HT?
