'Sanford-Burnham researchers have used human pluripotent stem cells to generate new hair'

We can help by directly donate to Terskikh's research for hair loss, there's already some guys who gave more than 25000 usd in the sanford Burnham page comment, and maybe more.

"Thank you very much for your comment and your interest in our research. If you’d like to directly donate to this research, please visit our website at https://supportus.sanfordburnham.org/sslpage.aspx?pid=298. There’s also a “Donate” button in the blog post."

They need 6,5 millions dollars to start clinical trials in humans. Please no one is millionaire here? haha who maybe someone know a very rich guy in his entourage??

"Thanks very much for your comment and your questions. Our scientists are currently working in several directions including the actual research in Dr. Terskikh’s lab. That takes roughly two years and costs around $1.5 million. The team there is also launching a C corporation to take this research to the next level.

The first trials could start in two years from now if Dr. Terskikh can both fund his research ($1.5 million) and studies into the tumorigenicity of this approach ($5 million).

I hope this gives you more clarity on where this research stands.

I'm sure there's one guy in the world willing to pay and support this research to maybe slightly accelerate the whole processus. WE HAVE TO FIND HIM !! :D

Yeah there prob is some bald billionaire who wouldn't mind funding this but someone like that prob has something better to do than checking hair loss forums on a daily basis (or simply doesn't know these forums exist).

Oh well, sh!t outta luck for us I guess.

This research is practically already ready for marketing but we have to wait for FDA stuff. What we need is to talk to them about releasing the technique outside of USA where it can be released quickly.

If we made it, and a lot of people gave money for this project, making it quickier, we would still have to wait for 15 years for this to come to the market :D

Dont forget FDA love us all.

6.5 millions is nothing

Have you seen how much money facebook clones are able to raise?

Think about that, social media startups are able to raise millions of dollars in a competitive market, and they will likely be unable to achieve any profit in a decade, but people are eager on giving them money because their investments will skyrocket once they reach profit.

So why can't a hair loss treatment be able to do the same thing? I'll tell you why, because they are unable to ensure investors that they are placing their money on good hands.

If anyone had a hair loss treatment that had serious chances of working, investors would be fighting to get their hands on it. And they would be stupid to do it, better get a big loan, pay interests and then keep all the profits for yourself

the investments will come after they release more shit, thats how it is.
