But you would be on dangerous anti-rejection drugs.

So after all that man had been through, they implanted a balding scalp on his head? ouch. BUT it could be good to see what if anything anti rejection drugs do, as there is a lot of talk about the role of the immune system!

Am I reading it right and looking at the right picture when he quotes "He had way more hair than I did when I was 21". Has this dude been bald all his life, get smashed in the head by cancer, and then get a balding scalp implanted? Plus his kidney and whatever else is was. Dude needs a medal.

I think the whole scalp hair transplantation would be very costly..
how an economic man can do the whole scalp...

It's a hell of a lot worse than an FUT scar. So that's a big no thanks from me :P

I think we need look at 3D Printing. Are many of you aware they are building commercial jets in South Africa (Airbus) by huge 3D printers? They produce food, cranial head plates, everything. Creating hairs may not be a problem but introducing them to the scalp is going to be the trick. Someone asked about Titanium hair, obviously the anchor or base would be Titanium. Titanium 3D hair may not be for all but if we could do it I say try it.

Consider this scenario: 3D printer makes a 1000 hairs to match your hair, they are implanted in such a way that it does not disturb the integrity of the dermis but some fall out over a period of time and you go to your hair man for a fill in every 6 months or year.

First step the hair can be made, no problem. Second step, a bio-engineer needs to design how to apply to the scalp. (Super glue? ha.) Is this possible? I don't have a clue. Anyone care to weigh in on this?

By the way I know an engineer who uses 3D Printers and well respected in his field. Okay bouncing ideas heree........bounce some back
