Am I balding or is it my normal hairline?
Here's my family history:
Father- Started balding at 42. He had a similar hairline as mine which he retained till 42. He's now 52 and is a NW4V
Uncle(Father side)- 47 years old NW3V
No balding on my mother's side...
Please help me one last time before I leave this forum for some time....
Im freaking out right now and it is as if I am relapsing into all the anxiety and other such stuf..PLEASE HELP! Thank you guys

Let me also mention that thankfully there is not vertex thinning and that appears in that overhead because of the lighting.
I don't see hair fall and even when I pull on my hair no hair falls out. The hairpull test comes out negative(0 or hair at most comes out) on the temples, the hairline and on the head in general.
Please help me guys... One last time..I know this may be irritating for you but please

I really can't see any balding. Keep making pictures if it worries you a lot, that way you can act fast when you do start balding (IF you're going to, that is).
03-29-2015, 05:58 AM
Are you sure? The very two pics are fine? NW 1?
03-29-2015, 05:59 AM
Very first two pics *

I donít see a reason to worry. But you can always take some extra efforts to keep this hairline, as you have family history of same. Why not to start few good hair conditioner shampoo and biotin supplement just to maintain your current hair health? Also keep in mind to act fast at very first sign of baldness and take a proper consultation from dermatologist, remember, the earlier the better.

I think your hairline is normal and there is nothing to worry about. Anyway, if you so anxious about your hair condition, consult a trichologist in this regard.
03-30-2015, 04:21 AM
With all due respect, trichologists in my area are extremely atrocious. You guys know better than most of them, which was why I chose to post my pictures here.
I'm currently taking 2% Keto shampoo every alternate day before which I massage my head with oil. I also take Omega fatty acid supplements and saw palmetto. Is that enough care to keep this hairline?

By taking, I meant using, sorry about that...

Hello everyone. Here are some new pictures after 3 months. I would like to know what NW I am, and if I am in the same NW as before. I would also like to know if there is any new signs of recession/balding. Can you guys also help me by telling me if I have a genuine widows peak or not?

Man, you're perfectly fine =/ And even if you were balding, you'd be the one with the most hair on this forum I'd say :p
06-16-2015, 07:55 AM
Looks like that triangle thing. But if everybody is saying yu arent balding and your parents who are observing you everyday are also saying so then you don't have to worry. I also don't think you are balding
06-16-2015, 07:57 AM
Did you post any pic of your hairline
06-16-2015, 08:50 AM
@indian18, yes I already did post pictures when I completely shaved my head. PLease check them out as well. They are at the very beginning of this thread. In my next post I will post pictures again showing my hairline. BTW aren't the above photos enough for showing hairline?

Photos taken one day after the penultimate photos
When I FORCEFULLY PULL MY HAIR BACK:
AFTER I LEAVE MY HAIR (STRAIGHT ON)
WHEN I LOOK DOWN AND PULL MY HAIR TO THE EXTREME
WHEN I SHAVED MY HEAD AND LET IT GROW (OVERHEAD VIEW OF HAIRLINE)
PLEASE GIVE ME ANY MORE VIEWS. And indian18, these are the photos...

Please forgive the quality of the extreme pulled hair photo. It may look little blurry
06-16-2015, 11:06 AM
One more thing to point out. The attached photo in penultimate photo containing post of mine was taken with hair wax applied.

Your hair is fine, honestly there is no visible sign of AGA in any of the pictures you posted.
However you came to the forum for a reason, so we are here to help...what do you think has triggered your concerns about hair loss? Are you shedding more than usual? Has anyone close to you mention anything about it or agrees with your concerns?
06-16-2015, 11:30 AM
@efedrez, thank you so much for your reply. No I am not noticing any hairloss experiences per se.
I came into the forums because a trichologist said I had MPB but my scalp diagnosis showed 89% Terminal hair and good density. After she said that I posted photos here and people told me no MPB. I researched more about MPB and found that 89% is good. When I presented her all the information I gathered she said I wasnt having MPB and that she never said I was balding. I wasn't surprised tbh because trichologists in my area don't have knowledge as they are just trainees who work for a money-minded firm.
I posted pictures now to see track my hairline, and to ask for views about it, because I feel I hold a biased opinion.
Thank you for your reply and for resolving my issue.

Is there thinning of hairline corners in any of my pictures efedrez or anyone else?
07-27-2015, 08:42 AM
Dr.Rashid says leading edge hairline miniaturisation can be common, and if there is thinning in the very leading edge could that be my case?

07-27-2015, 12:40 PM
You are NW1.
07-28-2015, 04:01 AM
Thanks for the reply.but could anyone tell me if thinning is present? BTw is it true that temple hair is generally thinner than other hair?
07-28-2015, 10:27 AM
Nw 1 as the other user said. I don't know about thinning. I'll leave that to the other users
