Hello all first time poster I hate to be one of those guys but I am worried about a possible receding hairline. I have thick curly hair but have gotten a comment saying your hair is receding. Then another comment from someone saying wow u got a thick head of hair but this is after I grew my hair out somewhat. My family history is my father is not bald always had thick curly hair like mine he is 50 I believe I do not have him here for crazy circumstances but I see in pictures and heard he has hair like my plus a big forehead like me and receded temples his father also had decent hair up until he died. However my maternal grandfather is bald as they come and he was fully bald by 32 he also had curly hair which is why I am worried also my maternal uncle has a full head of hair and is pushing 50 as well. So my question is is there any signs of balding or is it pointless worrying. Also from looking at old pictures I can never really tell my hairline because of my big forehead I always rocked bangs.

Looks like some recession at the temples but its something I wouldn't worry about. Just keep a eye on it and if it gets worse go see a derm.

Yeah you definitely have some recession at your hair line. There are a bunch of miniaturised (short and weak/thin) hairs visible at the front. How's your crown and the top of your head doing hair-wise?
Could be your hair line that's maturing, could be MPB. If it makes you feel more at ease, you could make a appointment with your dermatologist for some further checking.

Hey guys thanks for the replies in terms of recession is it possible I have always had this sort of hairline? Also I was looking at those hairs at my hairline as well but how can You tell between miniaturization and baby hairs or hairy hairline like the hairs my sister have along her hairline look similar and the ones Kim kardashian had before she started lazering haha. Also my crown is doing fine as far as I know no clear thinning or bald spot forming are there any other early signs at the crown
