This elderly gentlemen had approximately 100-200 grafts several decades ago. This situation presents what a conservative case can do to produce dramatic results in select situations at our Houston clinic. In particular, this patients grafts had almost all been 3-4 hairs per graft producing a very nice natural flowing thickness with age appropriate density. Prior to the procedure he use to wear a hair piece wig and no longer does anymore. The patient understood that fuller density would require more grafts via a second procedure but he was not interested in that and was more then content with his results. He also understood that his donor area density would limit the ultimate amount of grafts we could harvest in a lifetime.
