View Full Version : Are there any ketoconazole success stories out there?

I tried revita shampoo with Ketoconazole in it a few years back and experienced such a bad shed of hair that I discontinued use. Needless to say those hairs that were lost never really came back. ...I was wondering if there were any guys out there who stuck with it and noticed new growth without any side effects.

I use Revita morning and Regenepure Dr and Nt night use, I have been washing my hair the past 2 years twice a day everyday. My hair is great and the Big3 works perfect for me, no complaints here :).

Ketoconazole has very little peer reviewed results in pubmed/nih/medline studies. However, we have noticed it seems to have better effects in females in our clinic.

Did you actually lose the hair? Or did it just become very thin? I've always wondered if nizoral could cause permanent damage?

The hair that came out from the initial shedding while using revita and lipogaine never full came back 100%. But I did stop using it before it had a chance to grow back because I got scared and ditched the protocol. i would say 50% came back. My hair still looks ok, but I can see through it now whereas before I could not. Even the hair on the sides of my head, sideburns, etc, have thinned out some.

Yeah, mine is sort of like that. I never physically lost the hair but it has become very thin and transparent. Gutted! I heard it usually comes back to normal within 5/6 months. You thinking of going back on it?

I am thinking of going back to Keto and sticking it out for a full year to see what happens. I just posted this thread to see what others experiences were. I'm kind of testing the waters right now, but not jumping into anything unless I get overwhelming consensus that it's a winner.
BTW: I'm pretty optimistic that within two years there will be other options for us out there, something in the form of a more reliable treatment for hair loss-- Something having to do with stem cells, or cloning DHT resistant follicles, like that clinical trial going on right now in Tokyo. If that works, and it looks pretty good that it might, **** it, I'll clone 15,000 hairs and have them give me the sickest head of hair I could imagine. :)
