If I don't wash my hair every day it will get itchy and greasy as hell and it will look shitty too.
I've always thought sea water would be a good thing for oily hair. Maybe I should start washing my hair with sea water.

Yeah it pisses me off. Most homeless guys I see have nice full heads of hair but they don't take care of it and I can't help but stare and say in my head lucky bastards.

Your not paying attention. I have unfortunately seen plenty of homeless people - and many of them have MPB. So no, there is not "something there".

Washing your hair has no effect on hair loss unless you are scrubbing your hair vigorously when you wash it. You should wash your hair when it needs to be washed. It is best to use sulfate free shampoos and conditioners. It is probably a good idea to wash your hair with Nizoral or Nizoral A-D at least once a week but not more than twice a week.

Going many days without washing your hair can give you the false illusion that you are shedding more hair than you actually are - because you will be washing out hairs that had already shed out days/weeks before.

no worries, i know that when i wash my hair not often, more hair will come out. Since i use hairspray which lets the shedded hairs stay on my head, this will be even more extreme.

Since i had to stop minox, i wanted to buy nizoral. but i heard there can be a niz shed too. It would be my 3rd treatment since january (I didnt quit Fin) and i cant take another shed

Shedding is part of the process of treating hereditary hair loss and it needs to happen. You cannot effectively treat your hereditary hair loss and avoid shedding at the same time. You have to suck it up and ride out the shedding... Beauty is painful.

If you haven't been using Minoxidil for four at least a full year, you do not actually know if it was doing you any good.

You will notice that if you don't wash your hair every day, that when you run your hands through it you will see a lot of hair falling out and get very paranoid about this!!

It's only because every one sheds 50-100 hairs a day and washing your hair every day usually gets rid of them. If you only wash once every 3 days for example then these hairs will just sit their waiting to be washed out. Granted, some naturally will fall out on your pillow or during the day etc but not washing your hair every day will make you think you are losing more hair than you really are

I, myself, wash my hair every day, but i only shampoo it once a week. I noticed that my hair looks thickker after washing it, maybe due to the fact that my hair gets damn greasy/oily if don't.

The typical number is actually higher than that. More like 100 to 150 per day. If a person is shedding less than 100 hairs per day, there likely isn't a problem.

Shampooing every other day always makes my hair look fuller. Cleaning it, separates the fine strands, giving the appearance of more body. As soon as my hair gets oily again, it begins to "pack together' and looks thinner. Shampooing always temporarily reverses this. One major shampoo manufacturer states this exact same thing on its site. Regardless, it's what I've found to be true for my own hair.

I've also found that coal tar shampoos are the best for temporarily giving my hair a fuller appearance. However, I only use them once a week. Denorex is my favorite.

this is strange becaus when I wash my hair it looks more thick and dense, but my scalp is greasy and I have scalp acne so if I don't wash regularly it gets worse.
