    Propecia Shedding

    Hi,

Just a few questions about the shedding on Propecia.

I have been on it for two months now and up til now I have been noticing a reduction in the rate my hair was falling out. But the past week I have been noticing more coming out. Mostly fine hair, a few thick hairs (about 90% fine 10% thick).

Is this the right sort of time period for a ''shed'' on propecia and is shedding necessarily a good thing? Just a bit disconcerting to see a lot of hair fall out.

    Cheers

Shedding is associated with every treatment for hereditary hair loss that actually works. Shedding needs to happen. Shedding stops when the damaged follicles have returned to close to normal. Once the shedding stops, your hair starts growing back. When your hair grows back, it will be a little thicker than it was before. This gradual increase continues over a long period of time as the hairs cycle. Treating hair loss is a painfully slow process.
