Hello...new to site...my htp changed my life for the good
I've previously had one hair transplant of 1100 grafts a few years ago giving myself a new hairline. Though my hair is still thin in front, it made a huge difference in my life. I look different, feel more confident, and just enjoy having a reasonably normal looking hairline.
I tried everything before undergoing the procedure. Different haircuts, complete head shaving, and I even considered a hair piece. In my teenage days I always wore my hair long, and was always the guy with great hair. When my hairline started to receed up and into the temples...I was devasted. I was only about 19.
After much researce on the internet, I went to Dr. Konior located in Illinois. it was expensive, but worth every penny in my opinion. I consider myself lucky that I went to a good doctor and that the transplant turned out succesful.
I have a wife who supports me and has never been concerned about my hair...even when I shaved it all off. This transplant was for me. I am embarresed to say that I am obsessed with my hair, and I wish I wasn't. I feel better in the fact that there are others out there who share this feeling.
I feel for every bald man out there ...
I'm glad to be on this site and I hope to share stories and talk to some of you for advise...as I plan on going in for another procedure to thicken up my newhairline.
Thanks

Hi Caresabouthair
Welcome to the forum..your hairline looks great! Im actually suprised you look that good with only a 1100 grafts added, but since I didnt see pre-op photos in your profile, Im assuming you were only receding for the most part with little or no loss on top?Whatever the case,I wish you luck with your future HT's. Ive personally just finished my first 1800 graft session and everything is going fine so far.

I concur, I've heard nothing but good things about Dr. Konior. Unfortunately, there are many who make poor choices because they did not do any type of research so you should consider yourself lucky. Bad work gives the HT industry as a whole a bad name. Best wishes for your second procedure.

Very impressive hairline. How many more grafts to you plan to have?

Thanks everybody. It's nice to hear from you.
I plan on having about 1000 more grafts done to add density. When I grow my hair longer than about an inch, you can start to tell that my hairline is thinner than the rest of my very thick hair. I've been happy for the last couple of years just the way my hair line is, but I'm really pushing for one more surgery to thicken it up.
I am now located in Oklahoma and I plan on having my next surgery with Dr. Limmer in San Antonio. I have done lots of research and I feel very confident that he is the next doctor for me. I have heard very good reviews on him regarding his transplant surgery in the recent years. His website is very helpful, the pictures I've seen of recent patients look good, and his staff has been great as well. I've spoken with Dr. Limmer and he really took the time to listen to what I would like to have done and what my future goals are.
If anyone has had any experience with Dr. Limmer I'd appreciate any further info.
I'll be sure to add more pics to my profile soon.

I know that Dr. Brad Limmer is highly regarded and is an IAHRS surgeon, but if you had such good luck and good results with Dr. Konior, why wouldn’t you go back to him? He knows you and has already made you happy. No disrespect to Dr. Limmer, just a question.

Hi!
Dr. Konior actually recomended that there would be no reason for me to travel 1000 miles back up north when there is plenty of good doctors down here in the Oklahoma/ Texas area. I am married with three small children on a tight budget. I understand many people have the financial option of traveling 1000 miles or more, but in my situation, it's not in my budget.
In this time when we are all lucky to have a job period, I am just glad that my wife has agreed to let me have the surgery with Dr. Limmer. From a family stand point, it makes more sense to stay a little closer to home.
