    Losing Hair Young

I notice that I began losing my hair around a year ago and more so in the last 6 months. I just turned 18 and both my grandparents have little to no hair on their head, although my father still has a whole head of hair at 50. I have been taking doxycycline for around a year as well but from my research, it's not connected to hair loss. Also, I've had a big forehead since birth. Im very physically active and I'm not sure if there is a connection between that either. I thought my hair could just be maturing but it does not seem like it from the looks of it. I visited a dermatologist- he was no help but recommended that I would start rogaine or propecia. I don't think propecia is a viable option for me but I'm willing to commit to rogaine. I feel embarrassed having to deal with this when everyone my age doesn't have this issue. This is my first time writing on a forum and I'm just looking for some help since no one has been giving me any. So my questions are:
    1. Does my hair look like it's maturing or balding?
    2. Is there a connection to hairloss from doxycycline/working out?
    3. If you're on rogaine, what is your routine and how do you like it?
    4. Does my hair look like it got worse?
I'm not really looking for "just shave it off and move on" answers but thanks for taking to the time to read this post.
*Also, not quite expecting to regrow hair but to maintain at least.*

I can't tell any difference in the pictures. Looks like you have a full head of hair but you would be the better judge since you see your hair everyday.
I use rogaine at night and apply in morning. The morning application I wash out after a few hours or it make your hair look like shit.
I use the liquid Equate brand from walmart..very cheap and good quality.

Eat 2 8oz bags of raw shelled pumpkin seeds a week. Since you haven't lost much hair, this will make a huge difference in keeping it.

Its about $20 for a 3 month supply. I was told once it is made by upjohn but not sure if that is true but very good quality.
