17 Year old male with thinning hair

Hey everyone!

I'm new here and I had previously posted this in the wrong forum so now I hope that this is the right one.

Anyway, I wanted to share that recently I've started noticing that my hair is thinning around the parting area and at the back. I shed around 10-15 strands of hair everyday while showering and 2-5 strands per stroke while combing my hair. And I do have a family history of balding (my dad started losing hair roughly around his 30s). So now I'm really worried. Could it be stress related or any deficiency of vitamins or something? It could be any of the three things you mentioned, but yes, it is visible. I would see a dermatologist.

If it is genetic balding then only finasteride or dutasteride can help you. Good luck!
