Concerned about FUE results so far in month 7

Hi,

I had FUE procedure in April this year. I have been reading on some forums that you can expect 80% regrowth by month seven and you should have a good indicator of what your result should be at this time.

I was looking at pictures of my hair the day before I went for my procedure and I can't really see any difference from then and now. I am starting to get worried that this hasn't worked. I have attached six pictures. The first three are the day before procedure and last three are where I am at now. I can only notice fringe area thicker and that is because doctor put more grafts there than other area as I told him I wanted to wear my fringe up when hair grew back.

Can you give me your honest opinion. Should I be worried or am I being paranoid and just need to wait to month 12?

I honestly can't remember the figure. I had my head completely shaved and they were placed all over my head right up until the crown. I can remember my front/fringe area had more grafts put in as I told the planner I wanted to wear my hair up at the front.

Do you think it looks bad at this stage? I paid £8000 for it which is just over $10,000 just now rates.

You should know how many grafts you got. There is noticible improvement. However, I would have wnted more from a surgery at that price but your only 7 months some people get late growth and you have really let your hair grow out either. Start
Growing your hair out at like 10 months and you will see the coverage better. Email your doctor and see how many grafts you got.

With that all said you need. Water photos those don't really show too well the hair. Your post pics look like you gained density in some areas but thinned in others compared to previous pics. I think better lighting would help and just be patient.

Your post raises a lot of questions.

How many grafts did you have? The fact that you don't know raises a red flag for me, as this is one of the first things doctors discuss with their patients.
Who was your doctor, and was he IAHRS?
You seem like a diffuse thinner. Is this something that was discussed with the surgeon, and did he take this into account when coming up with a plan of attack for you?
Are you taking Finasteride?
Do you have post-op photos that can show the work immediately following the procedure?

Answering these questions will really help give a clearer picture of what's going on here. That said, while most people do see more results by month 7, it is totally possible that you're a late grower and will see more results within the next 5 months or so. It's not time to panic just yet.

I suspect you lost a lot of hair to shock loss and you may have also had a low yield as well. Miniaturized hair that is lost due to shock loss does not typically return.

I agree this is a disappointing yield. Sorry you are going through this.
