Hard to tell but it is likely just an extension of your natural swirl exacerbated by the bright light from above. Keep an eye on it and if it increases over time then you'll have some idea, but at 21, I wouldn't worry too much.

Good to see your thread Donatello~ thanks for joining this particular Forum.
You are at the best hairloss forum on the internet. Spencer Kobren is a very good man and does try his best to HELP.

      Now to answer your question.
Your photo does NOT show that you are balding,, not at all.
Being that you are 21 years old, you are probably experiencing male hair maturing,,and thats ALL.
Of course I do not know you,,Ive never met you or have seen other photos of you...BUT, the pic you have shared here does NOT confirm that you are balding,,,NOT AT ALL.
Could you experience balding later in life? Yes you MIGHT,,but you MIGHT NOT .
Maturing of your hairline is a NATURAL occurrence for most of us.

Maybe you might experience MINOR hairloss and not major hairloss,,,NO ONE KNOWS for sure.
What you NEED to do is to STAY POSITIVE, eat healthy, use multivitamins,,like Biotin (it helps hair),,,
Do not become worried or stress-out over the possibility of hairloss because STRESS WILL hurt your hairline and your health bro!!
Stick around with us my friend,,there are other GREAT members that will chime in to advise you as well.

Looks like you're balding a bit on the crown. You might start using Rogaine (minoxidil) which is most effective on the crown area of the head. If you're lucky, you might even regrow some hair there with Rogaine.

Over the next years if you notice balding/thinning of your hair you should start using Propecia (finasteride).

Yeah, I mean. I only noticed it thanks to some friends last year. It hasn't changed at all up to now.

And thanks, Artista. I'm not that worried, if it happens, then it will, if not, then not. I'll live relaxed meanwhile I'm just seeking if I'm or I'm not (until now).

so that means early stages of balding? or just "thinning" also i thought it could be telogen effluvium
