Honestly. Looking at the pictures, the pictures of the "before" and "after" show no miracle. The product might be true.

If this product give me the result of those pictures I would be happy now, because neither Minoxidil or Finasteride gave me this result.

That journal was recently listed in Thompson Reuters, so while a low level journal, it's still peer reviewed.

This is interesting. If there are other publications from the same people on different or related areas, then it goes someway to move it away from 'scam'. I'll have a look on Google scholar for some other papers in different journals. We'll see. It's exciting if true though. April!

However, it's notable that they say it was only twice as 'superior' as Minox, which doesn't bode well.

I've just emailed their marketing guy to see if he has any more up to date before and after photos. I made a point of the lack of apparent consistency between claimed results >20,000 hairs and photographed results.

I'll post them here if I get a response.

Given the current treatments even if it works twice as well as minox that is still something to happy with. Its better then what we have assuming they supply a little more proof it actually works.

Compounding could give even better results; minox + finasteride works to some degree.

Anything to add to our regimens is good.

    Agree.

Are you by chance remember how many wires Minoxidil demonstrated in controlled trials ?

The tests were made with Minox follows " hair -counts are all standardized to the familiar 1 - inch circular test spot on the scalp " , ie , the thread count is per inch circular head .

Well , I decided to do a test on me here , only to remember the times of physical and also help you understand it .

1 inch = 2.54 cm diameter Medi my head and gave approximately 60cm or 23.6 inches .

In tests with Minox , they showed that at the time there was a " hair count" which in some cases was over 400 threads per inch , ie , it would on average nearly 10,000 new wires , that for the measurement of MY head.

I saw in another study which involved 589 wires , which would nearly 14,000 new wires . If this product claims somewhere around 28,000 new wires and demonstrated that says could double wires Minox at peak test, it is concluded that it is totally doable .

This does not mean that he is " weak" because for many Fina works and shows up better numbers and probably a "ceiling " above average that they found in the tests , so that many people can close the crown for example ( which also not require as much hair as well , depending on the thinning ) .

What I found is also true that they have not put any miraculous picture as many other products put , found it positive.

Now if you take my case to Fine or oral Minoxidil , in any of the 2 I got close to these numbers , nor with Fina or with Minox , although in clinical trials they have shown excellent numbers , especially the Minox .

I'll tell you that if I had any of these 3 results photo , I would be well satisfied because neither Slim nor the Minox gave me a similar result , only held what already existed .

Had a reply from the head of marketing (no photos):

    Dear Rhys,

Neocapyl product is a raw ingredient for the professional cosmetic market. It is not a finished product for end consumers. It will be officially launched in April to our customers: cosmetics brands, at a professional trade show.

However, it is my pleasure to give you more information on how this product has been evaluated.
Before launching a new raw material for our customers, such as Neocapyl, we run our own evaluation tests. For this purpose, we ask a laboratory to produce a batch of a basic formula containing the active ingredient, or not (the placebo). Then we send these formulas to an expert cosmetic clinical centers, who recruit volunteers with alopecia (in our case grade 3 to grade 4). A dermatologist explains to the volunteers how to use the formula, and observes the volunteers over a period of time. They run a “double blind versus placebo” tests: it means that neither the dermatologist nor the volunteers know who receives a placebo formula or a formula with Neocapyl. This keeps the experiment clean and unbiased.

During this 3 months clinical tests, they observed that the placebo had an effect for 1 month, and then no more efficiency (which is most probably due to the saturation factor of daily application of the formula on the scalp which activates the blood micro-circulation, therefore nourishing the hair follicles again). On the other hand, the volunteers receiving the formula with Neocapyl® showed a statistically significant increase of growing (anagen) hair (+9%) and a significant reduction of hair loss (-17%). 85% of the volunteers had positive results.

Finished products including Neocapyl will perhaps become available in 6 to 12 months, depending on the response time for the manufacturers to develop their formulations and conduct their own clinical tests on this innovation. If you would like to let us know what country you live, we can keep you posted when the first finished product will be launched (usually our customers share this info with us).

I hope this answer your questions. If you are in the USA, please feel free to call our US subsidiary.

    Best regards
    Fabrice Lefevre
