First of all, I'm in favor of Gho. I believe his technique works and I believe it is BY FAR the best transplant in the world today. Second off, I am just saying I would like to see a BTT sponsored (independent test) test done, and done right, to put the 10% of me that is skeptical at rest as well as some of the US transplant surgeons that openly ridicule and try to demean the procedure. I am planning on getting HST done this year as of now, but if they do, in fact, refuse another test or we can't get this proved with what we have it will give me second thoughts. In the long run, even if they were just doing this test to prove to me and to me alone that it works, they would still not be losing any money because what I pay for mine alone would pay for the clinics cost of both.

How old are you, didi?
I'm sorry, I realize you must get this all the time. We've got piled up a heap of claims (Rassman, Umar, the dutch clinics) which dispute the advantages of Dr. Gho's technique, but how many of them are providing any proof for their claims... other than the "A wonderful Korean researcher tried to bisect a follicle like this and failed to do it, therefore it is impossible to do so"-sort of reasoning? Can I throw out a claim, and the burden falls on Dr. Gho's to prove me wrong??
Ehrrm, anyway... thanks didi. Someone more "erudite" should see why HASCI is not necessarily interested in providing more evidence. The harm done by getting a HST, , even in the worst case scenario, is hardly significantly greater to a FUE procedure anywhere in the world. Successful documentation in a test like this would of course be awfully convenient, so that I would become convinced enough to get a bigger session (say, 1300 grafts or whatever the hell the maximum is). But now, with all this vagueness, I am thinking I should first just travel there for a smaller tryout procedure (say, 300 grafts) and then go later for bigger session, if I am still convinced.

I wonder
Why Gho dnt use .7 or .8 mm needle to extract 3 hair grafts so patients get better results?
Getting mostly singles cant be considered golden standard

See, that's just what I was talking about. Claims without evidence.

You're right - I'm a moron and I should charge at least $100 if someone wants to see 1 Ironman-photo and $199.50 if someone wants to see 2 Ironman-photos and so on.
So, do you need my bank account details?

He is raising the bar.
I've seen Gho photos that illustrate no cosmetic scars (visible to the human eye) and nice recipient growth.
On that basis ALONE Gho is raising the bar - now I need to see other FUE surgeons doing the same thing. Dr Wesley is giving it a shot. I don't give a roo's poo or a monkey's toss who did this first.
The more docs doing it the merrier!!!!
