    Platlet Rich Fibrin Matrix

Hi everyone - first time posting on there and am really excited to do so..

There is currently a clinical study on Platlet Rich Fibrin Matrix that I would like to participate in...it seems very similar to PRP however this has a different combo to it and has more fiber, etc. Has anyone heard about it?

Also - I have been taking propecia for maybe 2 months but only take small bits equalling .10-.15 3x a wk....if I take anymore than that the side effects become crazy for me however I have seen an increase number of hairs in the sink with NO bulb...well very few did however now all have no bulbs and looks like breakage....thoughts?

    Thanks!

Can you post a link to this clinical study that you're talking about? I'd be very interested in seeing it.

Here's a link to a study entitled "Enhancing Hair Density With Platelet Rich Fibrin Matrix." Though I'm not sure how to interpret the abstract, but it look like this study began this past May and will conclude May 2013. I'm not sure if this constitutes a phase I study either. I've read about ACell + PRP treatments, and assumed they're snake oil, so it's nice to see people are doing clinical studies on something similar.

Oops. I was just rereading the abstract and see that it says they are in phase 3 trials. On the line balled estimated enrollment, it says 15. I assume that means 15 subjects in the study? I thought a phase 3 trial should include thousands of test subjects?

Hmmm, if you got your hands on IGF-1 or Follastin it would be much better
