Women don't suffer from MPB.
Some of them go through hair loss for mistreating their hair with harsh chemicals. The hair loss we go through, and I assume you go through, is treated differently. Take it from me, I went through the whole thickening shampoo phase already.

Try almost anything in the American Crew line. I'm a norwood 3 with the beginnings of a thinning crown and mid-front area, but I can still manage to wear my hair fairly long on top when I use their stuff (look at Fiber or Forming Cream on their website)
Also, look for prep products. A.C.'s Light Hold Texture Lotion is what I use before I dry my hair - without it, my dry hair looks like it belongs to a mummified Pharaoh.
Again, these things obviously won't do anything to actually thicken your hair - but you can fool people better.

Women DO suffer with FPB though, which is also Androgenetic Alopecia. Both MPB and FPB are Androgenetic Alopecia.

It doesn't really matter which one you choose. None of them really do very much. If you want something to make your hair look thicker than it really is, you need to use a cosmetic concealer product such as Dermmatch and the like.
