Not a HT Candidate?: Minaturisation around the hairline and very slow recession.
My hair loss since stopping accutane has been very, very slow. I've since gone on finasteride 1.25mg per day, but haven't been on it long enough for it to actually have any real effect. I do however have some minaturisation around the hairline, and am likely to lose a little bit more ground before fin can kick in properly.
What I wanted to know was whether or not I would still be a candidate for a minor HT involving what would be:
>Strengthening the very front of my hairline, and possibly lowering it a fraction
>Decrease the depth of my receeded temples (only one temple really)
>Smoothening out the hairline to create a less dramatic pattern
>Strengthening any weakened and minaturised parts of my hairline that may be susceptible to further hair loss, so as to avoid having an island of hair in a years time.
Based on what I've seen I would be looking at probably 1,000 - 1,500 grafts FUE with high-density packing.
The idea would be to go with this smaller HT for a couple of years to get a better feel for my hair loss as I'm still young, but to also over come the anxiety I have with my current hairline.
Then following an ideal scenario, I would come back in another two years to fill in any slight recession I may have had (if applicable). Then a few more years after that I could look at maybe going for a full blown NW1 - but honestly I don't think I'd really want one. I feel as though a minor HT would be sufficient to last me forver, and then I could preserve donor if required.
Plus given my age I only really need to last until my 30's before something like Histogen or even better comes out. Mind you, this isn't critical to my plan, I'm just trying to be realistic as to what the future of hair loss treatments are going to be like.
So would anyone with some insight be able to tell me what they think about my plan?

How do you know you only had minituarization in the hairline? You can't see it by a naked eye. You could have it everywhere.
I think you should go to a HT doctor let him answer your questions. You don't know what the future may hold for you, that's the ****ed up part of MPB.

I've already been to a derm that had a look at my hair, and said the overall thickness and hair quality were very good.
What happens is that I get a few minaturised hairs around the hairline, then after a while the hairline creeps back and strengthens. And so it goes on.
