Default Which option should I take

I am 21 years of age and considering a HT after using the big 3 for 8 months which hasn't helped any way at all so far.

I've been speculating and researching for the last couple of months about HT procedures and surgeons. At the moment it looks like the best option for me is Dr Farjo and since I live in the UK it would be better for me to go that way but one thing that concerns me is that the cost will probably be huge and since I'm a University student it could be really problematic.

What I would like to know is what options I have/if other users on here have been in the same position as me. One option that Spex suggested to me was that I could travel to the US which could be a cheaper and a better option.

Any response or help will be much appreciated.

Can you put up some pics? What class of loss are you right now and are there men on either side of your family history that have advanced classes of hairloss such as Norwood class 7?

Keep doing online research as much as possible...

I made that generally here :http://www.baldtruthtalk.com/showthread.php?t=7099

I have not seen your pics.

I suggest at 21 you take your time and do not be in any rush.

I know this isn't what you want to hear, but if your hair loss has not stabilized from meds and you are only 21, I would definitely not be looking into a transplant yet.
You say you have been on meds 8 months. It can take longer than that to arrest your hair loss; some people need more than a year. If I were you and at your age, I'd wait until your hair has been stable for at least 10-12 months before even going in for a consult. Since it could be another 4-6 months until your hair loss stops, this may mean waiting a year and a half or longer before setting foot in a clinic.

I'm not a doctor, these are just my opinions. If you spend a fortune on a procedure and then need another one in a couple years because your native hair is continuing to fall out, you might find yourself in a very rough position of "chasing your baldness" with very little money to do it with.

WAAAAAAAY to young for a HT. Continue using the products (maybe add Vit E, MSM and Biotin to your diet. Just buzz your hair short. It's a good look and your less likely to look like your balding when hair is that short...just my opinion anyway.

I agree, once you start, you'll be chasing with limited funds.....a bad combo.
