Default Confused with diagnostics from two different doctors!. Help

Well I went to a hair transplant clinic for a miniaturization test, the doctor saw me with the microscope and told me that it is normal for my age to have a mature hairline and that I should not worry about it, she told me that Im not losing hair in the hairline. Then she checked my crown and upper part of my head with the microscope and she told me that Im not losing hair at the moment, that Im fine. A week later I went for a second opinion to another hair transplant clinic and the doctor that checked my hair said that I need to take propecia because my hair was thinning in the upper part. Now I dont now which one of the two doctors to believe. I always had very fine hair and I always had that cowlick that shows in the pictures. What should I do?

This is tough to say, I would say that you should go to another clinic and get one last test done.

I'm going to say this so Tracy doesn't have to say it later on :P there's no way of knowing if you're balding just from the hairline. However I think that there is some balding going on at the top of your scalp. I'm no dermatologist so don't rely strictly on my comment.

On a side note, is your scalp more itchy then usual ? how many lost hairs have you been noticing ?

Ive always had naturally very fine hair, thats why I have that cowlick, it has always been there. I do notice a normal amount of shedding

do these hairs include showering, combing etc etc ? if yes I would say you have absolutely nothing to worry about. Unless there's a possibility that you can still bald without noticing loose hairs.

Yes these 30 hairs include, showering, combing, the ones that are left on the pillow. What confuses me a lot is why the opinion of the two doctors I visited varies so much?, the doctor that did the miniaturization mapping with the microscope said Im perfectly fine and the other says Im thinning and that I need to take propecia. Which one should I believe?, should I take another miniaturization test?. Thanks!

Yeah it happens, I would say that you should take one final test and that should conclude if you need to take action or not. Also which country do you live in province/state ?
