Any one has any idea why Minox prices have been dropping lately? Was looking at Ebay and you can now buy a six-month supply of Kirkland Minox for about $15. That's about $2.50 a bottle ! Even Rogaine is sold cheaper now. Can we even trust that what we're buying is legit ? I've been buying on ebay for many many years but now I'm having doubts that this stuff is real, especially with the massive shed I've been experiencing for the past few months.

The Rogaine Foam patent is about to expire so generic versions will become available at vastly reduced prices, turning the lotion effectively obsolete. Hence the price drops. -
Makes sense, but I don't see why the liquid form would be obsolete. As far as I know foam isn't any better than liquid except that it doesn't cause irritation. And for people who still have a good amount of hair foam isn't the way. Anyhow, it's good for us the consumers.Comment

Actual foam is better no matter how much hair you have. It's less hassle to apply (If you ever spent your youth in a hair band you'd know that), guaranteed as effective as the liquid and with no irritation. That's why it used to be so much more costly than the liquid.Comment

I buy 12 month supply of Kirkland's 5% for $30 from MonsterHotDeals on Ebay. They have positive reviews so I trust them. I have bought twice from them and don't have any complaints.
But starting next month, i'm gonna buy some Rogaine. I'll probably switch it around, use Rogaine one day, Kirkland's the next day.Comment

I have heard a lot of positve feedback with the foam from my patients ever sice it came out. I recommend only once a day at night and that will make it last longer and bring down the cost.Comment

Yeah I'm thinking about trying the foam one. Been on regular minox for over a decade but the itch and flakes it can cause some times is a little too much. Only thing is regular minox is easier to get on the scalp than foam is for someone who still has hair.Comment
