Ok, so I am 17 years old and decided I will start using rogaine once my summer break comes. I am confused, should I start at 2% or 5%? Also, should I only apply it where I think there is thinning, or everywhere on my head?

What are you confused about ? Don't bother with 2 %. That's for women. Apply it on wherever you think you'll be losing hair.

Our practice usually recommend the 5% foam. The regular contains an ingredient that can cause irritation in some people, and the foam is lighter and, from what people tell me, easier to use in general. You may also want to see a doctor about getting on Propecia. Seventeen is very young, and you may not be a candidate. However, we several patients of your age on Propecia because their hairloss is significant.
