Default Please help needed urgently

Hello,

I am 20 years old and have been on propecia for one year with no sides and little benefit. I decided to switch to DUT to see better results and have been on it now for around one month now. The problem is in the last week I have had awful sides. I have no desire for sex at all, and can barely get an erection and even when I can it doesn't stay long.

Will this pass? I stupidly took three 0.5mg doses in one day last week to speed up the process (I'm on 0.5 daily) could this overdose to the system be the cause? I was fine when I first started the drug. Can I ride this out?

Please help me.

Many thanks

I have also been under a great deal of stress recently with uni deadlines and work. How much could this be a factor as well as it all being in my head ???

no one can really answer that question for you. it could be all in ur head, or it could be very real. you may be just upset or too stressed about your hair situation to have any kind of sexual desire but again only you will have the answer to that. higher dose doesn't always equate to better result. talk to whoever prescribed u those meds.

If it is real, could it be a phase while I adjust to the drug? Something that will correct itself with continuation of the drug?

I would probably lower my dosage for a while. From what I have read, sometimes changing, getting off or getting back on a these drugs can cause some temporary issues. Since you did well on Propecia, you will likely be fine and back to normal before you know it.

Will my sex drive come back???? Surely there's people out there that have had similar experiences, will these effects fade away?

Will take some time... DUT has a long half life man...

DUT isn't a good choice for hairloss...too potent.

I want to stay on the drug to hopefully see benefits on my receding hairline, so what's the chances of it going away with me continuing the drug? I'm sure this has been documented as a common side that corrects itself? No?

well it's not common to get sides from propecia. some even claim that the sides can be permanent. i haven't read anything about sides correcting itself and going away. there's always a risk regardless of whether the odds are in your favor or not. if you feel u want to ride it out then you should. if it's unbearable then you should stop. it's a decision you're gonna have to make and live with.
