Default Dr. Brad Limmer (B & A w/donor pics)

This gentleman presented to my office in May 2007 for his initial consultation. As noted by his photos he sits somewhere between an extensive Norwood pattern 5 to early pattern 6. At that time I recommend he start with at least 3000 +/- grafts to address the frontal half of his scalp, creating a Norwood pattern 3v. I also recommend medical therapy and he understood to address his entire scalp he would need the better part of 6000-8000 grafts.

In August of 2008 he decided to move forward with transplantation in a conservative manner, initially addressing the front half of his scalp. His hair quality and the multiple shades of gray would aid in the cosmetic benefit he would see from his transplant.

Presented are his pre op and 9 months post op photos, including his healed excisional scar. He will continue to see some additional improvement over the next 3-6 months.

Brad Limmer, MD/jac

Note: Last 2 photos are of his shaved donor area, he is in the office for another procedure to increase his central density.

I like seeing the realistic results of a well done hair transplant the we see on this forum. One thing that always bugs me with the ads and websites are the before pictures of the guys with no hair and the after that make him look like he has a full head of hair again. I think they are very misleading. Showing realistic representations of hair transplants like you see on this forum makes me more comfortable with the idea of having it done. At least I know how things might really look.

This mans hair looks very natural and probably takes years off of his appearance.

Dr. Limmer......your donor closure looks great, very imperceptible.....1st HT is coming along nicely...Are you planning treating the vertex or just adding density to the bridge and transitioning into the vertex? im assuming the latter based on the size of his area....thanks for showing what to expect when treating an extensive balding pattern.
