Taking hairloss treatments to the max
I'm going to ramp this up. I'm going to take treating hairloss to the max.
Current Regimen:- Finasteride (1.25mg per day)
- Rogain Minoxidil 5% (twice per day)
Proposed Additions:- Regenepure (not sure how often to use)
- FDA approved scalp roller
- Azelaic Acid Cream 10% (once per day)
- Biotin
Concerns are that the study done on Azelaic Acid's effect on Alopecia Areata "was on in-vitro (in the laboratory) studies and there are no invivo (in patients) studies". Therefore it's unknown how effective topical application would really be. Some people do swear by it.
Regenepure seems to be one of the better Keto shampoos out there, and I'm keen to give it a try. For those who are using Regenepure, are you using it daily? Niz is supposed to be used twice weekly max, otherwise you risk hairloss.
Biotin I can't find any studies on, only anecdotal reports. Does anyone have any?
What other supplements would you recommend and are there studies for them?

Highlander,
I have had excellent results with Minox 5% twice a day, Propecia 1mg (no side effects at all), Multivitamin, Biotin 10,000 mcg twice a day.
I been on those stop-loss healthy hair products for about six months, I've noticed a great difference.
Your not a candidate for a transplant?
Best money I ever spent, if its a last resort go for it...!
Good luck to you in your regimen....!

I'm getting a NW1 HT with a surgeon in Europe when I stop my hairloss (which is caused by meds). I'm just going through some sheds from getting on fin, but it's got me thinking that I need to take hairloss more seriously.
Would you tell me about the Biotin? Where is the proof that it works? Where can I find out more about it?
Thanks.

Highlander,
I don't have any proof about Biotin, my doctor said to take 10,000 mcg daily, so I'm just listening to the advise of who I consider an expert in hair restoration. I didn't ask what biotin does specifically, but I have noticed much healthier hair at the sides and back from the Minox, Multivitamin, Biotin, Propecia, my hair loss has stopped, seldom do I notice more than one or two hairs in the sink, shower or on a comb.
In another year I'm having another 2500 session performed once the new hairs catch up with the old ones. Next time the transplant follicles will be healthier than the previous follicles.

What NW are you now and how much are you willing to spend on solutions?
I encourage RU dude. Testosterone plays a role in hairloss and RU blocks it. Remember your testosterone goes up when you are on fin.

From what I've read, a lot of people get 5mg doses and cut it into quarters. Obviously, I can't speak on Highlander's situation. Just sayin.

This. It's way, way cheaper. Buying 1mg fin is for chumps. That stuff is marketed for hair loss, so they charge a lot for it. Whereas the 5mg is marketed for prostate cancer or something. One packet (lasts maybe six months) costs me 30 Euros.

Commitment? Hardly.
Fin is almost free. Rogaine is about sixty euro per three months, so 240 euro a year. Not that bad if you ask me. Then regenepure is 25 a bottle and is just like normal shampoo.
In the end you add to your daily routine one pill at night, and about two minutes applying Minox. It's nothing.
Oh, and I'm NW 1.5/2ish.
Someone please comment on the shampoo and roller. I'm going to buy them soon and want some last-minute advice!

RU and Dutasteride are going to be routes I'll take if after two years my regimen is ineffective. I may rant and freak out a lot, but my hair loss not really that bad. For the most part I'm only losing a very small amount at the hairline and despite shedding my density is good.
By the sounds of things you NEED to take RU daily, which would make travelling with it hard, no?
I'm also going to be seeing my doctor about getting a hormone test to see what my levels are like. Not just high test can cause hair loss, but also low.
