Topcat , I'm late to this thread but how many grafts did you get from your beard ? I ask because I am in a similar situation with no donor supply left

Bolton I really do not have a heavy beard but I still got about 900+ beard hairs from the chin area approximately 6-8 sq cm.....not a large area but it all adds up in the end.

I should probably have stated that area in square inches.....2 square inches as I can eyeball that better and that would equal about 12 sq cm not 6-8 sq cm.

My guess is I need 3000 to fill in front half of head. 1000 isn't worth the grief. May consider a consultation .

4th procedure 9 month update

4th procedure 10 months post op. Cut all the hair on top to about 1.5 inches. Looks like a little less hair but much easier to style and when I sprint I don’t have long strands of hair flapping in the wind. It’s like an anchor has been removed from around my neck and I can run faster without worry.

4th procedure 11 month update. Combination of head, chest and beard hair under different types of lighting.
