This health care provider had a previous strip surgery performed a few years ago. He was dissatisfied with the hairline looking sparse and somewhat pluggy. And his old strip scar was moderately wide and a little higher than we generally take them. After discussing either excising and revising his old scar or making a new one in the traditional lower area, he chose the first option.
We did a repair procedure last summer and he stopped by for pictures recently. Shown are operation day, 1 week, 6 month and 14 month pictures. We specifically did not do any work right at the front edge of his “widow’s peak” at his direction. He plans a future case to deal with thinning further back in the scalp and we’ll likely touch up that small area at the front with 100 singles or so at that time.
