What to do about my uncombale and tangled hair

My hair feels like I'm wearing a wig. Its all tangled in the middle and it slops down in the front to cover the thinning. Am I using too much hair spray?? Someone said to try olive oil and deep condition it. That didn't work. I don't know what to do. Someone please help!!!I can't comb it or anything. Also I've been shedding a lot. Lots a hairs on pillow and when i touch it and throughout the day!!
