That is strange. I am going to call my Merck tomorrow and find out what is going on. I often tell my consultation patients to go to that site to get more information before taking Propecia.

The Proscar website is also down -
http://www.merck.com/product/usa/pi_...p/proscar.html
Its most likely legal stuff to do with the lawsuits Merek are facing.

But it would be good to know of any extra info,

Big lawsuits are starting now apparently. They're doing it to protect themselves. The whole ring the FDA to report side effects thing is worrying though. Merck don't exactly have the best track record in recent years; Vioxx, Singulair, now Propecia? This Replicel treatment can't come soon enough. Even if it's just 20% regrowth and no further loss long term it would be so much better. It will smash 20% though I should think.

That's good to hear that you make sure they're fully informed. The HT doctor I consulted did the same and made me aware of all the pros and potential cons and wrote me a script. He told me to have a think about it and read up on it before I decided one way or another. I decided it wasn't for me as I'm very risk adverse.

Kind of interesting how this is all happening just before Propecia or 1mg Finasteride is going to be available in a generic prescription.

i'm kinda concerned about all this... i might pick up another year's worth of finasteride at target before they pull those pills off every pharmacy store.
WTH is going on??

I'd understand if the site became redundant when the propecia patent expires next year but what's up with the big ring the FDA if you have side effects bit? Are they trying to reassess it before the patent runs out in case they have to pull it? Hope it's much ado about nothing for the guys taking finasteride.
