Not true at all. It is correct that hormones fluctuate a lot throughout the day, which is why it is important to take the tests at the same time of day, which Julio and I both did. Look at the Keratene study - they took multiple baseline samples before administering their pills and all the levels were very similar.

Yes, this is one of the theories of Saw Palmetto. And if this theory is not correct, I can say that saw palmetto does not work for nothing, because in two months I took 320mg of Saw Palmetto and did 2 blood tests to test its efficiency, my DHT had a considerable increase. See it at my exams.Comment

The company doesn't claim that their product works this way, they claim that is dramatically lowers DHT, which is does not.Comment

I think its funny how you interpret your results to mean IT DOESN'T WORK FOR ANYONE. Maybe for whatever reason it didn't work for you. I didn't see your results, and I don't know you. JulioGP obviously has some issue with his results in my eyes which disqualifies his test to me (you can feel however you want about it). Keratene is not some small nobody company that just started. Hair surgeons around the world have been using their products for some time. They presented at hair seminars, and ProHair Clinic did an independent study. It's so naive to throw all of that out the window and say "it doesn't work for anyone! its a scam!". People on this forum are so silly. I have no affiliation with Keratene, but I will try the product soon to see how it works for me. I am not taking 2 anonymous users possibly bunk results as hard proof that it works for NO ONE.Comment

By the way, we are still trying to figure out if Prohairclinic and Keratene are owned by the same company. If they are, wouldn't you find that a bit suspect? What else do you know about Keratene? How many employees do they have? What are their financials like? What makes you consider them so legitimate, other than a handful of european ht docs selling their products?Comment

I am not protective. I am hopeful it works. If 10 people came forward with legit blood tests my opinion would sway. Until then I will try it for myself. Forum mentality is silly. Nothing here has been done in a controlled manner at all. JulioGP's results make no sense. THAT isn't science and we surely can't make enormous claims like "this works for no one" without some scientific proof.Comment

THE PLOT THICKENS:
I just called the lab to ask them what method was used to measure my DHT because it doesn't say on the results. They connected me to a lab tech and they came back and said "it's call liquid chromatography mass spectrometry" aka "LCMS!"
So, apparently I did follow their protocol and it leads me right back to my conclusion - Keratene Alphaactive Retard is GARBAGE.Comment
-
So let me now be clear in my revised response to that twit:
1 you should mention that you did not even request the correct test protocol
i did use the correct protocol
2 you should mention that you did not respect our advice to use the test method as indicated by our team
yep, I did
3 you should mention that we did tell you not to use any other test method than the one indicated by our team, yet you choose anyway to disregard our advice
you didn't tell me anything and there's nothing of the sort in your pamphlet, but I did have the correct test done.
4 you should mention that you*can not*guarantee with 100% certainty that you actually followed the test protocol
you basically said the same thing four times, but again, I DID!
5 you should be able to confirm that you do not suffer of any of the medical conditions, as required in the test protocol
i have no medical conditions that would affect hormone levels, and i read all of the ones listed in your insert
I am done with this, aside from letting everyone on the other forums know about these liars and possibly seeing if I can get some authority in the EU to investigate their claims. I need to move on with something that works. Good luck if you decide to stay on this crap. I believe I've made my contribution to this community and hopefully saved some guys some money, time, and hair. If you think I'm an asshole for it, oh well.Comment

Everyone is free to do whatever you want and not I who will say "what to do" to everyone here. Just posted my results as a way to share it, that's all. I even think I'm starting to waste time trying to discuss it further. Who wants to try, go ahead.Comment

First they did a, in my opinion, serious research (the one that's been reported). Off course, there is a possibility that they just falsified the results. But then they went to the University of Ghent, a reknown university in bloodtesting, to do a smaller sample trial and to give an independent institution their say. At this point, the odds of still fraudulous results are very low.
They also went to a FUE meeting in Berlin to show their results, I don't see a snake oil company presenting their results to experts in the case. And lastly the product is being sold by one of the most renowned HT-clinics in my country. It actually doesn't even matter if prohairclinic would have ties with the company, they would risk their credibility selling a complete scam.
So, to already shout scam and snake oil is on one hand way too early, and on the other ignorant of the actual proof they have . Don't get me wrong, I appreciate everyone who posts their results here, but then again those are only individual, not very scientific results from anonymous posters (nothing personal, but it's just a mindset I try to keep up).Comment

Cob swears he gets sides taking this stuff as well, he's adamant - don't know what to think of that.
In any case, I've paid for three months worth, can't bring myself to try Fin, have nothing else so I'm going to roll with this for the duration of my supply. It most likely is a scam, but for now I have nothing better. There are a couple of people that report improvement in their hair - I dunno, maybe they're on the payroll.. Maybe not?Comment

Well I am not on their payroll and I know that no amount of proof I provide is going to convince everyone that I am not. So I am not even going to try. I am just reporting my updates having been on these capsules for around 5 months and I will continue doing that. It's up to you all to believe that or not.
Myself and Hariri are the very few ones on these threads who have actually tried and still trying the product, and I dont mean try for a couple of days and weeks and dump it, but for months now. Both of us have reported improvements in our hair. Cob has reported sides with this product, but it seems unfortunately he is very sensitive to any anti-androgen (which is a fair indicator that this product has anti-androgenic capability).
I saw this following link update provided by Bart from prohairclinic. He seems to be a professional rep working for a professional HT clinic. If this doesn't convince you to at least try this product, I don't know what else will.
This person has been using Keratene Retard + shampoo+ lotion for 8 months now. Most of you understand that just like finasteride it takes a long time before you can see any effects on the hair. Furthermore the results vary from person to person, some get no visual improvement, just...

ajays,
You should get your blood tested even if you don't have a baseline. According to their study, it should bring your dht below most reference points so it could give you some indication of whether it's working. Regarding your results, didn't you say you were coming off minox and that it was wreaking havoc on your hair? It seems more likely that you could just be recovering from an out of control minox shed.
Yes, I am only one guy. But I am a crazy responder to anti androgens (like I regrew every hair I lost) and this did not lower my dht one bit.

look,
I'm not saying that this product is a snake oil, I'm just saying it's not 100% effective, because it did not work for 2 users on this forum (they did blood tests), what is the probability of effectiveness?
I do not believe that the company has rigged the results or something, but there was insufficient research on the functionality of the product. Yes, it's weird when we see the table presented by the company in which ALL users Kératene had a significant reduction in DHT (more than 70%) and 2 from forum users who performed examinations have not had any change (even with this protocol conversation specific tests).
So, what are the chances start taking Kératene and work or not? I do not think anyone else should try, just think essential that those who go test Kératene, do blood tests to find out if being efficient or not, because the person can spend months finding using the medication being beneficial for baldness and this not happen.
Guys, seriously. I give support so that more people test the product, but do blood tests!
Ask the company for a free sample of 60 capsules and do blood tests.
I consider it a shame that kératene not work in my case, because I bet my chips on it since I had side effects with Finasteride.Comment
