What causes the fin shed and why can it happen so late into beginning the treatment?
As the title says, why is it that fin causes sheds? I understand minoxidil pushes hairs in the telogen phase out to encourage newer stronger hairs to grow through, but what about finasteride?
Furthermore, why do these sheds sometimes occur multiple times for over a year before an improvement is seen?
Someone mentioned something about changing one's hormonal profile, but I've not seen any evidence for that.
