He is admitting his own positive experience has influenced his views, he is even appologizing for it. What more do you want from him? People that oppose Propecia never admit to being influenced by their personal experience and I can understand that since they are the ones suffering. But Spencer has a right to his opinion, specially when he is admitting his own experince has influenced him.

You think Propecia is Poison, then you have every right to feel that way, and you have every right to express your opinion. No one is stopping you to bash Propecia. But please stop trying to rope everyone else by making this a ""political correct"" kind of an issue. All I have to say is that Spencer Kobren has completely turned my life around and I know that thousands of other men feel the same way as I do. I believe that this and several other forums have been infiltrated by a small ,but vocal group of Propecia conspiracy theorists who will use these type of bullying tactics to advance their agenda.

Spencer Kobren is in a position of great power and is extremely down to earth and I would say more tolerant of this smearing and bulling then I would be. He has to be a very strong person to allow people to bash him on his own forum. His integrity is second to none, because if it were me I would not allow it.

With all due respect, Khan, you are completely missing the point. My grievance is not a matter of difference in 'opinion'. Spencer, a self-proclaimed consumer advocate is simply not doing his professed job. He has publicly ridiculed men who have had their quality of lives destroyed by a consumer product that he promotes while these are the exact men he claims to be protecting.

His role as a consumer advocate is not to talk about how great his experience was with Propecia. Rather it is to discover its potential benefits, risks, and the corruptions that are going on with the manufacturers that present dangers to innocent and helpless consumers.

You have not paid very close attention to what Spencer has done and you seem to be reading things into what he has said that he obviously did not mean or intend. Instead of listening to him with a preconceived notion of his intentions, take a step back and think it through.

This is the sort of bullying I was mentioning. He doesn't agree the risk are substancial enough to prevent people from taking advantage of this treatment. And for holding this opinion people want to punish him by defaming him.

What you are saying is that he better do what I think to be true (i.e Propecia is a poision that has ruined lives) otherwise he isn't fit to be a consumer advocate.
