Is Minox essential?

Hey all,

I'm 22 and I've been noticing thinning over the whole of the top of my head for a couple of years now, particularly on the crown. Although I don't think I'm actually losing hair yet it's gotten to the point where I have to something about it.

So I've bought some fincar. I see a lot of guys using minox as well. Do you think I should too or should I just see how I get on with finasteride by itself first?

I was thinking about using minox to help get my thickness back up and then just maintaining it with the fin, but will stopping minox have any adverse affects?
