Default A Day in the Life of FUE Hair Transplant with Dr Wood – Day 2 - 500 grafts

From my blog - website on my profile

As my eyes open I almost forget that I had a hair transplant just a few hours ago. It feels like a bit of a dream as I had been thinking about the day for so long. The fact that I feel no pain and slept through most of the night without any problems also adds to this feeling.

I did however sleep for over 12 hours. It is worth noting that i did not have any pain killers during the night and when I woke up I had very little blood on my pillow.

I am getting prepared to spend most of the day watching movies and just relaxing. My mother takes the day off to look after me, and she takes the pictures of me in the morning.

From the photo's there is not much difference between day 1 -2 but there is a little bit of swelling. The swelling is as expected due to the fluid in the aesthetics. It has caused my head to become a little like a character from the movie coneheads

For the swelling I was told to massage the surrounding area but since its in the impanted area I will just have to let it be.

Overall feeling normal other then having my hair cut looking like i had a battle with a clipper and it got the better of me. I am not taking any drugs other then my vitamins.

I could easily do work, none physical. I have stuck to my post nutrition plan - Whey Protein, Fish oil, Spirinula

Note: It feels a little weird to laugh as your scalp moves, its not that it hurts just feels wierd.

If anyone has any questions I am more than happy to answer them for you.

    Hi kd@fuehairtransplanttruthwith.

With all due respect 500 grafts is going to do little to nothing for you, especially given your diffuse pattern and inevitable ongoing loss.

    Are you on medication?

I don't understand why Dr Woods has agreed to do this and have you got any preop pics?

If you read the whole story it was meant to be 1000 grafts but I missed my appointment. Dr Woods is being very conservative, the mid section first then he will work on the temple. He states that i will never have my hair back to when I was 19, and i am fine with that. I know I am in for a long hall, and he said to me you must be committed to this over a period of time.

He is being conservative because my hair lose has not stabilise. Now, I am only saying this from looking at photos but what he did with 500 is quiet a bit considering you will see people who have 2500 grafts get less coverage, just at the temple. Plus I got to see ever single graft being removed and placed. Seeing him take out each graft and put them in I do not understand how doctors can do 1000 FUE in a day. But he does it himself no one else is in the room.

But I am not here to start argument. You have your opinion I will have mine. I will have to wait for my results... And hopeful i get what I want... As alway results speak louder then words

I am not on here to start an arguement either.

People will give their opinions, constructive or not.

I cannot honestly see how 500grafts will give you a lot of benefit as it stands, are you planning any more surgeries in the future?

I hope it works out for you and you get the result your want.

Do you have any pre op pics ?

Yeah buddy I was meant to have two day op but only got in for 1 as i missed the appointment due to a mistake on my part with timing,

Yeah I will have another 500 grafts but i need to work out with work when I can get time off.

for pre op pictures you will have to head to my blog. As I can not put the link up just go to my profile and its there. Alternatively it is on my profile.

    I have seen them now.

I think you will need more surgeries in the future but best of luck with this procedure and keep everyone posted on the forum with your progress.
