Hair Clinics? Are they full of crap? Advice on their advice would be great
Well I started going to Clive Hair Clinics because I thought an advanced expensive treatment which has been around since "1950" would be best, however after two months AND already $900 my hair loss has not slowed in the slightest, infact I swear all these products are annoying my hair and making it weaker and fall out faster. My hair has never been more weak. I can literally pull hairs out eveywhere. But apparently this is a "good sign" because the weaker hairs will be replaced by new hairs. But I am losing baby hairs too, not just old ones.
They have given me a three range conditioner line, which apparently reduces Enzymes and Kankho based hair stimulants with enzyme blockers which you spray in your hair. Furthermore they gave me Home Formulae Treatment (HFT)which stregthens weak hair follicles and roots through the action of creating follicle movement within the scalp.
That is 5 products I am using on my hair. Plus I am already taking propecia. I think this is causing a never ending shedding phase, because my hair can't handle it?
Finally and this is what I would really like advice on.
They gave me Reduced GSH & Lipoic Acid? Have these been shown to reduce / help hairloss? They also gave me Vitamin B and Vitamin C.
I'm so confused, I am currently on propecia and just want to KEEP my hair. I have just (barely) enough hair not to keep completely depressed. I will do anything to keep the hair I have. My hair is very thin and weak. However I have just enough coverage at the moment to keep it a little hard to notice.
Should I stop this treatment? I'm not sure propecia is working after three months either, I'm 19 and this is costing me a small fortune.

My opinion not based on fact. Just stay with the propecia. I think the clinic is ripping you off. Propecia is the only proven stopper. Minoxidil to a lesser extent. Save money and get a reputable dr for a hair transplant consultation.

I agree with 'question' that Propecia is your best bet, but you will need more than three months to determine whether you are seeing a true benefit. If possible, continue taking it for at least 6 to 12 months.

One of the problems with starting a bunch of new treatments for hair loss at the same timeis that it is difficult to determine what is working or having a positive effect and what is not working. If you are going to try Propecia I agree that you need to take it 6-12 months to give it a fair chance.

start doing head taps with closed fists head down by waist best 30 secs or sitting up 2mins 4 to 6 times a day not hard taps just to get blood circulation improved after all its blood that feeds the hair follicles pinching and sqeezing the scalp helps as well -this will override genetic and other common hairloss causes -this and afew other things worked for me and i started balding at 33 found out a natural holistic approach at 56 when a lot of my hair had gone -started turning the whole problem around in 4 months

Hi Jeremy
Clive clinics are full of crap to put it bluntly ! dont give them any of your cash ! as for the above post ...... head taps ,,,,,.wtf !!!
Its a downer losing your hair I started losing mine at the same age as you , best try propecia and minoxidil give this a year see how it goes for you
your way too young for a hairtransplant so i would get saving up if thats a consideration in 5 years or so
Ask clive clinics for a refund , no harm in asking
all the best
