    tricophytic closure question

I had a hair transplant almost 2 years ago (2,500 grafts) and the closing procedure on the donor area was a tricophytic closure. fast forward almost two years and my hair has continued to thin out.

the transplant itself was a good one but since i can't tolerate fin i have only lost more hair since the procedure. i am at the point of shaving it all off and calling it a day...but, i am worried about the visibility of the scar. does anyone have experience with this? i don't want to clean shave my head--i would used an electric trimmer and go about as short as i could with the buzzer.

has anyone done this and was your scar generally very visible? i know everyone's scar will differ in size, etc. i am just trying to get a feeling for what to expect.

Even the best scar is going to be visible at anything less then a 3 or four guard. If you want to shave your head close and don't want the scar exposed your going to need to look into having a FUE procedure to graft into the scar and/or possibly SMP (scalp micro pigmentation) search here and on other hair loss forums for examples of what is possible with both procedures.

      couple of questions

      philippe

I was wondering about how old you are? I ask this because I was wondering what angles are playing into your thought process. I also am wondering what NW stage you are currently at. Is it not feasible to get another transplant or are you just over it' in general. I apologize if you have stated this in other forums I am new to this community.
